North to Alaska

Way north. Fly to the Idaho/Canada border, over Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, and keep flying at 500 miles per hour for three hours and you're almost there.

At least crabby omelets and B.O.B. eggs benedict awaited at "the best breakfast place in Anchorage"

Katy goofing off while shopping in Anchorage. It's a kid-sized jacket. Guess the movie.

The bus ride to the dock wasn't so bad either.
Or the view from the dock

Not to mention the view during coffee the first day of the cruise. Glaciers on the port side.

Click on this one to appreciate the view.

Plenty of glaciers to be seen

Even had a basketball court on the ship

Sailed within a quarter mile of Marjorie glacier to get a good view and listen to the thunderous sounds of the glacier cracking and breaking into the bay.

Me standing on the smallest desert in the world, the Carcross desert in the Yukon.

Katy at the beach in Carcross, Yukon, in Canada.

Just a good view on the way back to Skagway from the Yukon tour.

That takes us through the first few days of the trip. I'll post more when we upload and sift through all the pics.

  1. That breakfast picture just made me drool on my desk. I could go for some of that right now.
