Climbing Workout

Got up early on Saturday in Ashland and decided to go up the remaining pine to trim out some dead branches.

Didn't have to go up too high, but definitely got to practice maneuvering in a tree while tied in.

After using the handsaw, had my parents send up the electric saw to speed things up.

Dead limbs were encircling the trunk, so I had to do some hand lowering and using dead limb stumps to reposition in the tree to get the branches opposite my tie-in point. Overall, the climb was fun. The tree is now leaning at a good angle off perpendicular, so it will have to come down soon. It should be easy with all these limbs to get up and top the tree. At my cousin's house, noticed about 7 dead pines that need to come down. Most of them scrawny, but I have some ideas on how to have fun taking them down.

Peace,

J
