Before he woke up I was "sleeping" on the floor next to his bed to keep an eye on his breathing. Every 5 minutes was a cough, roll over, and whine waltz. So, maybe a few minutes of sleep here and there scattered between 1000 to 0100. Like a repeat of the previous two nights, except those nights I was lying awake listening to the monitor. But at least then I was under the covers. All told I'm running 4 hours of sleep per night or less this week.
Also, Katy had dental surgery today to remove her wisdom teeth. You know, one of those perfect days where everything aligns.
Now I'm up for good. A little too much adrenaline. So much that I want to go out for a rim in the 14 degree weather and pretend I'm a rebel training on Hoth.
But that maneuver is too likely to tripwire the boy into another cry cough vomit spell.
And so I sit in the glider, writing this to you. Whoever you are.
<sip> - ahhhhhhhhh. This is the best coffee in recent memory. There's a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 on the kitchen counter. Unlike the run, that may be worth the risk........
