New Look for an Old Dining Room

Although I definitely liked the original burgundy paint color in our dining room, I always felt the furniture blended in a little too well with the walls.  So, ~ 2 yrs ago I picked out a new paint color.... and 2 days ago, Jason, Jim, & Joan decided repainting the dining room was a good weekend project!

So, when I left home on Friday (Jason's day off), the dining room looked something like this:

And when I returned from work, the dining room looked like this:

I love the new green paint color, it really brightens up the room -- thanks Jim, Joan, & Jason for all your hard work to (unexpectedly) make this happen!

It's nice to finally have the dining room looking pretty after all the disruption this year with the basement flooding, Pergo removal, asbestos removal, carpet installation, carpet re-installation, and nursery preparations... until this weekend, the main floor of our house has looked more like a storage warehouse than living space. Looking forward to being able to have friends & family over again to enjoy it.
