Green Eggs and Dan

Bit of a delayed update, but last weekend Jason & I took a trip to eastern MD for a cookout/campout at his former boss Dan's house. It's a cool old house (circa 1700s) which has been renovated over the years. There was archery, blow-guns, lawn games campfires, good food, & nice company. We also enjoyed the "cowboy theme" as it gave us an excuse to wear the hats we'd purchased in Wyoming many years ago. Overall a very relaxing & enjoyable time (the beautiful weather certainly didn't hurt).

On the way home, Jason & I decided to take some detours. We stopped at St Mary's College where Chuck went to school & looked in the lake for the Life-Like home video tape, but no luck (haha sorry Chuckles, couldn't help myself). I did point out Hell House, & Jason was not impressed... I think he was envisioning something more along the lines of Animal House. Next, we stopped by Point Lookout State Park & enjoy the views of the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. We'd like to go back some weekend with fishing rods & tents. If I'm lucky, I'd get to learn how to clean a fish.   From there we we stopped at Solomon's Island and ate great crab cakes and rockfish at a place called Stoneys.

I wish every weekend could be so nice!
