Walked around Seattle a bit, down to the tourist trap water front an then to pikes place market. Got a delicious oyster shooter that was the biggest oyster katy had ever seen (the size of 3 oysters) for 1.99 and a cup of shrimp and scallop ceviche at one of the fresh seafood stands.
For dinner, Katy and I ate at Le Pichet, a French place a block off the beaten path of Pike's market. Delicious! Plus they serve wine by glass, Demi-pichet (1/3) bottle, pichet (2/3), and by the bottle. Got two pichet to try different wines, asparagus salad with poached egg and lemon butter sauce, english pea and ham salad, an assorted tray of homemade meats and pate, and carrot-lentil soup. For dessert, apricot tart and "drinkable" dark chocolate with Hefty whipped cream and espresso.
Drinkable dark chocolate shown below.
Headed back to the hotel to hit the sack early and try to admit to the time change. More to come!
